CLEVEDON'S youngest swimmers were in action last week in a Four Seasons gala held at nearby Backwell.
The squad, sponsored by Bristol Hotspring Ltd, came fourth on the night and turned in some terrific performances.
Gala points and positions were: Bristol Henleaze 177; Backwell 168; Bishopsworth 149; Clevedon 135; Burnham 121.
Emily Sturdy was Clevedon's only individual race winner on the night with a blistering 22.21 sec swim in the nine-and-under 25m backstroke.
Macey Freeman, Izzie Varney, Emily Sturdy and Keziah Douglas won the nine-and-under girls freestyle relay and Ellie Varney, Sophie Oliver, Emma Sudol and Amy Thompson won the girls 11-and-under medley relay.
Thomas Appleford, Jack Bishop, Thomas Bishop, Christopher Burnett, Emily Bushrod, Keziah Douglas, Jason Fisher, Macey Freeman, Oscar Gall, Ellen Gentry, Holly Hancock, Charlie Hatcher, Max Haydon, Gabriel Jones, Peter Kearsley, Joel Lomax, Luke Maidment, Elspeth McGowan, Emily Sturdy, Florence Tayler, Amy Thomson, Ellie Varney, Izzie Varney, Jonathan Warrellow all broke their personnel best times on the night.
