SPORTS Bar kept up their excellent cup performances with an emphatic 8-3 win over rivals St Johns Reserves.

Sports went into a two goal lead through Luke Page and a cracker from Jamie Lewis, before the visitors pulled one back. Just before half-time, an Ashley Towler free kick restored the two goal advantage.

The second half saw a goal avalanche, with scores from Lee Stephenson (2), Page, Kieran Marsden, but the biggest cheer of the afternoon was reserved for Ben Sealey, who scored his first-ever goal for the club.

St Johns kept their interest by adding a couple of goals. Manager Neil Wilcox gave Luke Page the man of the match award.

SOUTH Park were looking to extend their unbeaten run to four games.

After a bright start, Rangers took the lead on 12 minutes when Scott’s shot was handled by a defender. Matt Harvey stepped up and converted the spot kick.

South Park carried on attacking, but were wasteful in front of goal. Rob Gerrett was through on a one-on-one, but again the chance was missed. Nailsea hit back and equalised just before half-time.

After the break, South Park defended bravely, but a moment of individual skill by a Nailsea attacker saw him beat Manny in the South Park goal. With three minutes to go, Nailsea had a player sent off for a second bookable offence, but Nailsea held on to record a 2-1 victory.
