An equestrian team from Hugh Sexey Middle School rode to victory at the prestigious National Inter-Schools one-day event championship.
HUGH Sexey Middle School equestrian team rode to victory at the prestigious National Inter-Schools one-day event championship, a major event on the schools’ riding calendar, held at Stonar School in Wiltshire.
The winning team consisted of Katie Thomas, Lucy Pickles, Molly Watkins and Rupert Chetwode. Each member of the team completed three disciplines - dressage, show jumping and cross country, with all four riders giving strong performances in each phase.
In addition to their team success, there were also individual placings with Lucy Pickles excelling to win her section, Katie Thomas finishing fifth and Molly Watkins 10th.
The team could not believe how well they performed and were thrilled to have won such a major championship for Hugh Sexey Middle School.
