Excellent start for Locking Park

Locking Park made a winning start to the new Weston & District League Division 1 season.

Locking Park started the Weston & District League Division 1 season with a home win against local rivals Weston Super Seagulls, the game finishing 4-1.

It didn’t take Park long to find the back of the net with lively winger Aidan Dancer running down the left to supply Ryan Harris, who then squared to Matt Hollow to smash past the Seagulls keeper.

The second came just before half-time and was again started from Dancer, who this time passed straight to Hollow to finish with another impressive strike.

The next goal came on 70 minutes when a long ball tempted the away keeper off his line, but Harris beat him to it to pass to Hollow for his hat-trick.

Seagulls managed to pull one back to make it 3-1, but the game was sealed late on after a poor goal kick deflected of a Seagulls defender and dropped nicely for Harris to get a deserved goal.

Man of the match went to Matt Hollow.
