Woodland Lawn Tennis Club’s juniors celebrated the start of Wimbledon in style by holding a Fast Feetfundraiser during their usual Saturday morning coaching session.

Lots of activities requiring quick footwork and stamina were on show, the youngest group had a wonderful time building up their leg muscles by taking part in a space hopper relay.

Hotdogs, cakes and the obligatory strawberries were on sale and the juniors raised more than £250 which will go towards some new fitness and footwork equipment.

Junior co-ordinator Annie Buckingham, was delighted with the morning’s efforts. She said: “Woodland’s juniors always enjoy a special event and they all rose to the challenge of getting their feet moving.”
