Cheddar Tennis held its finals day in good weather.
CHEDDAR Tennis Club finals day saw good weather and an enjoyable afternoon was made even better by tea and cakes.
Some competitors chose the beer or wine option, purely for medicinal purposes to ease nerves or aching joints.
Results - Boy’s U12’s: Luke Adams bt Tom Botsford 6-3, 6-3; boy’s U16’s: Hal Davidson bt Matt Amesbury 6-0, 6-3; men’s doubles: James Knight & Peter Robinson bt John Lloyd & Hal Davidson 6-4, 7-6; ladies’ doubles: Juliette Knight & Ali Locke bt Laura Sheffield & Vanessa Brill 6-2, 6-2; mixed doubles: John Hodgetts & Amy Rossiter bt Hal Davidson & Juliette Knight 6-4, 6-4; men’s singles: James Knight bt Stephen Pearce 6-2, 6-4.
