BBH keep up the pressure

BBH kept up the pressure on reigning champions BFC with a 7-0 victory over Weston Spartans.

THE Weston Sunday League finally got underway for 2012 and BBH kept up the pressure on reigning champions and local rivals BFC.

BBH defeat Weston Spartans 7-0, while BFC’s game with Clevedon Crusaders was cancelled. BBH now face BFC in the quarter-final of the Knockout Cup at Burnham.

Weston Players edged out a fast improving South Park 6-5, while in another close encounter, Nook & Harbour hung on for a 5-4 win against the White Hart.

Results: BBH 7, Weston Spartans 0; South Park 5, Weston Players 6; White Hart 4, Nook & Harbour 5.

Fixtures – KO Cup quarter-finals: BBH v BFC at Burnham; Weston Spartans v White Hart at St Johns; South Park v Trysports at Priory; Weston Players v Clevedon Crusaders at Hutton Moor. All referees to be arranged.

The semi-final draw will be made at the February meeting and the final will be played on April 15 at a venue to be arranged.
