A charity rugby match has been arranged between Weston Rugby Club and a combined Bristol and Moseley Old Boys team in memory of Lance Bignell.

There will be a charity rugby match between Weston Rugby Club and a combined Bristol and Moseley Old Boys team on the Rec at 3pm on September 9 in memory of Lance Bignell.

Lance was the young son of Weston player Richie Bignell, who passed away in tragic circumstances earlier this year. Richie previously played for Bristol and Moseley so both clubs were keen to be involved.

The game and the day are to raise funds for Bristol Children’s Hospital Grand Appeal. There will be mini and junior matches before the main game and rides, stalls, face painting and live music throughout the day. Food will be available and the bar will be open.

The day starts at midday, with the main game at 3pm and Steve Mitchell live at 5pm.

Please come and enjoy the day. It would be even more special if visitors wore their club colours. Entry is free and all we ask is that during the day you make a donation to the charity.
