Pictured is Sainsbury’s (Cheddar) manager Paul Broad, who is to be the club’s guest for their match against Taunton Town, has kindly donated a bottle of champagne for the man of the match on the evening.

The champagne has been presented to one of Sainsbury’s shop supervisors, Jack Griffiths, who also plays for the Cheesemen.

It may be the close season at Cheddar, but pre-season starts in just 20 days time with the visit of Taunton Town and both head groundsman Russell Heal and his son Owen, are hard at work making sure that the Bowdens Park playing surface is in top condition.
