Graham is new Wrington Redhill captain

Graham Cheeseman is the new captain of Wrington Redhill.

WRINGTON Redhill Football Club striker Graham Cheeseman has been named as club captain for the coming season.

Manager Alan Smith said: “Graham stood in as acting captain a few times last season and showed all the qualities I need as a leader. He is vastly experienced and has great respect from everyone at the club, as well as being able to communicate with officials.”

Last season’s club captain, Mark Andow, is taking a short sabbatical to spend some time with his young family. Alan Smith said “I would like to thank Mark for his reliability and leadership last season.”

They club has three pre-season friendlies coming up, starting with a game at Ashton and Backwell on Saturday (3pm). This is followed by a game at Worle on July 24 (7pm) and home to Pensford on August 2 (3pm).
