Laird quits Weston FC

CRAIG Laird has resigned as manager of Weston Football Club.
The Scot has left his position just 48 hours after he lost first team coach Rob Boyd and Marc McGregor due to budget cuts.
He exclusively told the Mercury on Wednesday it would be ‘impossible’ to replace the pair.
A statement released by the board this morning (Fri) thanked Laird for his efforts and said it was with regret it received his resignation.
Laird’s departure comes less than two months after the club announced he was leaving after failing to sign a contract and because he demanded too much money – however he was sensationally reinstated the very next day.
Laird joined the Seagulls in 2010 from Bridgwater Town and has guided Weston to their best ever league finish in the Skrill South plus two Somerset Premier Cups during his tenure.
