Locking Park had a hard day at the office, going out of the Atwell Shield 3-1 at home to Draycott.

Park had the majority of the possession and chances in the first-half, but could not find the net. The game’s first goal went to the away team after a slip by Locking captain Dan Windsor let the Draycott attacker through and slotted past Ian Allchorne on 50 minutes.

The scores were level 10 minutes later after substitute Matt Hollow did well on his own and beat the keeper. The game was put beyond Locking after two goals in eight.

Man of the match went to Harry Hornigold.

Locking Park Reserves will be wondering how they let the three points slip away in this game.

Park went 1-0 up when Craig Baird ran on to a long kick from the keeper and took the ball around the onrushing Kewstoke keeper. Park doubled their lead shortly after when Baird picked up the ball 40 yards from goal and lashed home a dipping shot.

Kewstoke pulled one back, but when Ben Hollow was taken down in the area a minute before half-time, Baird stepped up to complete a first-half hat-trick.

Two enforced changes saw Park lose Kyle Hobden at half-time and the influential Baird just five minutes into the second half.

These unfortunate incidents saw Park having to change their team around and it immediately had an impact. Kewstoke came back into the game and Park lost their shape and composure.

Kewstoke got two goals back to make it 3-3 and were pushing for the win. Park got a bit more of a grip on the game, with Park missing a glorious chance late on to win it.

Man of the match went to Craig Baird.

Wrington Redhill got back to winning ways with a fine all-round performance at the Rec.

With skipper Paul and Josh Bennett, returning after a long injury, dictating the midfield with a wide range of passes, the front three of James Marshall, Dan McMullen and Sean Cole were kept busy.

A Dan McMullen free kick was delivered perfectly, inviting Marshall to bundle in for a typical centre-forward’s goal. With Dan Tapson anchoring the back three with Callum and Tom Clark, Nailsea hardly had a shot on goal.

Playing up the slope in the second half, Marshall squared the ball to McMullen to score the second goal, before Marshall added the third. Man of the match McMullen rounded off the afternoon with another fine goal
