Weston United 4 Raglan Arms 4 (Raglan won 4-2 on penalties)RAGLAN picked up the Manderwood Invitation Cup after an exciting final with Weston United.Raglan had keeper Dan Till out injured and top scorer Ricky Hodge unavailable, but they opened the scoring through captain James Brown's free kick and Kyle Havard soon added a second. An Andy Lockyear penalty early in the second period appeared to have made the game safe, but an injury to Dan Vickery saw United back in the game before Ryan Havard skipped past half a dozen challenges to force the game to penalties.Ryan Havard, Daniel Grubb, Brown and Michael Danvers were successful from the spot for Raglan with Nathan Best pulling off a stunning save to push Curtis Smith's effort on to a post and safety along with an Adam Haysom effort that hit the post. Many thanks to Keith Johnston of Mortgages Mortgages for his sponsorship of the event.Everybody involved with Raglan Arms would like to wish the best to former goalkeeper Sean Burrough for a speedy recovery after the serious injury he suffered on Saturday.
