Team Mendip continued their good form of last year with a comfortable 5-0 victory over St Nick’s.

Without a league game since November, Team Mendip were still able to continue their good form of last year to beat St Nick’s 5-0.

St Nick’s re-vamped and under new management competed well for the first 15 minutes and were unlucky not to score when a looping cross struck the upright.

St Nick’s were struggling with Ellie Orritt’s excellent corner kicks and from one, Sarah Adams was first to a loose ball to score on 20 minutes. Ellie Roberts bagged the second, quickly followed by a well-taken goal by Natasha Hale again from a corner kick.

Roberts settled the match with two more goals to complete her hat-trick.

In the second half, Mendip made full use of their substitutes but were unable to add to the score.

Sixteen-year-old first-half substitute Laura Jones’ introduction had an immediate effect on the game and she was justifiably voted PD& CL Building Services girl of the game.

Team Mendip are at home next week to Swindon Spitfires, 2pm Worle recreation ground.
