Milton Nomads Under-14s defeated Nailsea Athletic to record their 10th win in a row.
MILTON Nomads Under-14s won their 10th league game in a row when they beat close rivals Nailsea Athletic 4-3.
The game started with Nailsea taking an early lead, but Nomads came back to dominate the rest of the first-half and created a number of chances and equalised when Jack Rickwood’s free kick was volleyed home by Lewis Barber.
After the break, Nomads started the stronger and took the lead with a great individual goal by Dean Chrisostomou, who beat three players and beat the keeper.
Nomads’ defence of Charlie Woodards in goal, Tyler Pooley, Lewis Milkins and George Harris-Aucott contained the Nailsea attacks and gave little away, while the midfield and attack of Ryan Pugh, Avasi Lucas, Sam Parkinson, Matthew Frost and Drew Hodges created many chances.
Following good work by Cai Williams, Pugh hammered home a third goal for Nomads which was added to when Jacob Flavell got on the end of a flowing move from Nomads.
Despite conceding two late goals, Nomads ran out worthy winners to maintain their top spot in the league. Man of the match was Lewis Milkins.
WESTON Crusaders Under-13s travelled to a depleted Wedmore side and quickly went ahead through Jake, following a good cross from Ben.
A neat finish from Snedds, quickly followed by his second meant the game was beyond reach early on, while Jake scored another three before half-time.
Harry Palmer came up for a penalty and then Snedds secured his hat-trick, which was quickly followed by a stunning third for James. Aidan got in on the score sheet late on and Ethan finished things off with a cheeky penalty to make the final score 13-0.
CONGRATULATIONS go to David Grimes for scoring his first goal for Weston Town.
David has played for Weston Town since the team has been set up, but due to health problems, does not get a lot of play time on the pitch during the matches.
Also, congratulations go to David for being awarded the man of the match in the same game as he scored his goal.
