CHEDDAR Football Club has appointed Tim Richens as first team manager assisted by Martin Panes and they are both continuing in their capacity as the Under-18s management team. Paul White, assisted by Glynn Young, will be running the reserves while Andy Chambers and Russell Young will be running the third team. There is a vacancy for a fourth team manager after Ian Smith has stepped aside to take on the fixture secretary's role.Anyone wishing to apply for the fourth team manager's position should apply to Steve Bayliss, chairman, on 01934 742941, mobile 07976 830823.The First team will play in the Somerset County Premier Division; the Reserves in Somerset County Division 2 West; Thirds in Weston and District League Division 3; Fourths in Weston and District League Division 5; Under-18s in Somerset Floodlit Youth LeaguePre-season training will start for all teams on July 12 at 6.30pm. All players welcome both old and new. There is also a players' meeting scheduled for July 19 at 8.30pm and all players are encouraged to attend.The club sponsor has been agreed and for the next two seasons will be Majestic Designs (UK) Ltd, based in Cheddar and Weston. They would like to thank Mr Steve Harris for his support over the coming seasons, together with Jim Milligan of Cut to Size Ltd who will continue with his company's involvement in the third and fourth teams.The club annual meeting is at 8pm on Wednesday, July 12, and anyone interested in getting involved in the running of the club should attend this meeting and members are required to attend to vote for the new officers and committee.They are looking to put together their pre-season fixture programme, and any club wanting pre-season matches can contact Ian Smith on 07788720222.The date for the Charity World Cup shirt auction has been set for July 7 at 8pm.
