Weston-super-Mare Football Club has had a mixed season but it certainly was not a boring one.
A sacking, a new head coach, a huge turnover of players and plenty of ups and downs capped off an eventually successful nine months, which ensured The Woodspring Stadium will once again host National League football.
With the season now over, we look back on all the drama and the highs (and lows) of the Seagulls’ National League South campaign.
Weston finished the season 15th in the table, having flirted with relegation for much of the campaign, and having even enjoyed a spell at the top of the table.
Head coach Scott Bartlett told the Mercury he ‘cannot wait’ to get back to training where he will enjoy his first full season in charge.
He said: “I know the boys need a break but I cannot wait to get them back here. I am happy with the business we have already done and am confident we can recruit some excellent players for next season.”
