WESTON AFC groundsman Bob Flaskett has recently received national recog-nition for his work at Woodspring Stadium.He came third in an FA competition behind Cambridge United and Hyde. The awards were held at Windsor Racecourse and included over 150 groundsmen from the Premiership down to county level.Bob, who is self-taught, was proposed by the county FA back in April and the judges were Darren Baldwin (Spurs) and Dave Roberts (Southampton). He has had technical help from Bristol City groundsman Craig Richardson, who won his divisional award.Bob said: "It was the proudest day of my life and it was also a great honour for the football club. Thanks also go to Craig at Bristol City for his help and advice.
