Weston-super-Mare Football Club’ women’s team are hunting for new players, hoping to bolster their squad with the test of playing in a higher division looming.

The team have enjoyed consecutive promotions since forming two years ago, and will play in the South West Women’s Football League this campaign.

Manager Stacie Morrissey said: “Me and the rest of the team are extremely excited and eager to start the preseason and are looking forward to welcoming any new keen players to our squad.”

Players pay a £25 signing on fee, followed by £30 monthly subs – which in return gives ‘complete access to the outstanding player package’.

The package includes two training sessions a week on the freshly-installed 3G artificial pitch at the Woodspring Stadium, access to GPS fitness technology and expert coaching.
