WINSCOMBE scored two late goals to secure all three points in an important Somerset County Premier fixture against Castle Cary.Sam Baker's goal had kept Castle Cary level for much of the match before Winscombe finished the game off at the War Memorial Recreation Ground.Adam Bray scored two and John Gwyther scored one for Winscombe after Paul Thoroughgood had to be taken off in the 30th minute.Thoroughgood had to be taken to hospital after an opponent's bladed stud cut through his boot and his skin. He has been given butterfly stiches as a result.Winscombe now lie in 11th place with 35 points. Castle Cary lost 5-0 to top of the table Hengrove Athletic on Tuesday and are now in 13th place.
