Friendly tournament at Blagdon

CHESS - SOMERSET Schools' Chess Association have organised their first friendly tournament of the season at Blagdon Primary School, on Saturday, November 28, from 9.15am- 5pm.

SOMERSET Schools' Chess Association have organised their first friendly tournament of the season at Blagdon Primary School, on Saturday, November 28, from 9.15am- 5pm.

All children in school years 3 to 6 living in or attending schools in Somerset are welcome. All players play in all rounds and no-one gets knocked out. All children attending will have the fun of playing five or six games of chess, making new friends and receive a certificate. There will be separate prizes for different age groups.

The best players will be considered for the Under-11 team to represent Somerset in inter-county matches. There is a fee of �8 for the tournament and advance registration is required. A copy of the entry form can be obtained by visiting http://www.somersetchess.org/scca_juniorchess

The next tournament will be on Saturday, December 12, at King Edwards School in Bath.
