AN overnight frost greeted the anglers fishing the two matches at Shiplate Farm, Bleadon, on Sunday morning.

Luckily the sun shone and warmed the anglers slightly. The fishing improved, but it was a real test of skill as to how they were going to tempt the fish to feed.

Frys MG fished a match on the Main Lake, while Shiplate winter series fished the Hawthorns and Westpool in the third leg of their series of 10 matches.

Andy Curry won the Fry’s match with a bag of total silvers (40lb 2oz), feeding groundbait and caster with red maggot over the top.
