WESTON-SUPER-MARE will have to wait a little longer before they can kick-off their FA Trophy campaign in earnest, as their First Round clash with Wealdstone has twice been postponed.

The in-form Seagulls, who beat The Stones 3-2 at The Freebets.co.uk Stadium on December 5, were initally due to be reacquainted with the Middlesex side on Saturday, but the weather intervened.

And heavy rainfall today (Tuesday) has had the last laugh again, with Weston’s Woodspring Stadium suffering from a waterlogged pitch.

The tie has now been scheduled for Tuesday December 22, kicking off at 7.45pm at the Woodspring. The winners will play either Solihull Motors or Grimsby Town in the Second Round.

It halts the Seagulls’ impressive run of four straight victories in the Vanarama National League South. Ryan Northmore’s young side currently sit 18th in the division, two points above the relegation places.
