IF YOU’VE dreamed of holding the FA Cup aloft to your adoring fans from the royal box at Wembley Stadium, this weekend you’ll have a chance to bring that fantasy one step closer to reality.

The famous trophy is visiting the Woodspring Stadium from 11am-3pm this Saturday ahead of the crunch first-round tie with Doncaster Rovers that same afternoon, and will be joined by the BBC’s Football Focus team as they present their weekend preview from the ground.

Supporters are invited to arrive at the ground early to view and have photos taken with the trophy, while Weston manager Mickey Bell’s men will hope it isn’t the closest they get to touching it this season.

The club have also confirmed Doncaster will be housed in the NK Sports stand and given use of the club’s function room. Rovers fans will enter the ground through the turnstiles at that end of the round facing Winterstoke Road, with the other two entrances open to home fans as normal.

Tickets are still available for Saturday’s match, although it is expected the club will attract a record crowd for the game. Tickets are available from Bristol Ticket Shop or from the club between Wednesday and Friday, 8.30am-6.30pm.
