Hornets Girls Under-15s were too strong for Bridgwater in this local derby encounter.

Hornets Girls Under-15s proved too strong for near neighbours Bridgwater and ran in tries from wing Ella Hutchinson (4), centre Sophie Adams (4), back rower Charmaine Dempsey (3), No 8 Katie Reynolds and fly-half Ruby Richardson.

Debutant Jess Delaney had a great first match in a dominant Hornets pack, where Ellen Swetman, Beth Wood and Georgia White were rock solid at the scrum, while Meg Robb in the second row was superb.

Backrowers Reynolds and Bowen were lively along with stand-out foward Millie Mann. Tianna Franks playing at flanker for the first time, also had a strong game in the thick of the action.

Scrum-halves Lottie Dadds and Olivia Brunt were excellent in their controlling of the game, while Richardson and Adams look to be forging a frightening partnership at 10 and 12.

Chloe Young enjoyed her first game in midfield and Paige Nigh is a class act to look out for in the future. The back three of Harrie Payne, Ruby Pring and the electric Hutchinson look a threat every time they are in possession.

In the second half, the teams mixed together to make a much more competitive game that was enjoyed by all involved.
