SPLITZ Gym Club has had another exciting weekend of competing, 14 gymnasts attending the South West NDP Acrobatic and Tumbling Prelims in Taunton.
SPLITZ Gym Club has had another exciting weekend of competing, 14 gymnasts attending the South West NDP Acrobatic and Tumbling Prelims in Taunton.
Emily and Lydia Hawkings, Rosie and Libby Bunker, Louise and Leanne Chubb, Charlotte Patch, Elisha Hartill, Rosie Hodder, Katie Mitchell, Eleanor Robertson, Summer Rogers, Emily Fairchild, Lennon Coles all gave good performances.
Highlights of the day were Libby Bunker and Summer Rogers who received gold medals in their age groups for tumbling and will be going to national finals in May. Rosie Bunker just missed bronze in tumbling with a well-earned fourth place.
The two trios of Emily and Lydia Hawkings, Libby Bunker and Charlotte Patch, Rosie Hodder, Katie Mitchell came fifth and eighth in a strong competition.

The club’s next competition is the South West Novice in five weeks, where some of the younger gymnasts will be competing for the first time.
Splitz Gym Club would like to thank judge Serena Robertson, Mr Hawkings and coach Louise Walker for their help, also all the supporting parents who made it an enjoyable day.
