Golf: Wedmore golfers enjoy Cornwall trip

A group of more than 100 from Wedmore travelled to St Mellion in Cornwall recently.
Captains Kev Osman and Gill Jones, along with Heather Osman, organised the trip, which proved to be a fantastic weekend.
Helen Tanswell and Richard Ham took the honours during a warm-up on the Kernow course, before the Nicklaus course was tackled.
And Trish Phelps won the Ladies Cup with Tim Harris taking the men's prize to take the Paul Plume trophies before a Sunday Texas Scramble saw Harris, Pru Witter and Keith Thomas finish in first place.
Eunice Bond won the women's Division One event at the club with 75, two shots ahead of Saybria Sims, with Sue Chambers in third place.
Aileen Robertson won the Division Two competition on countback from Hazel Gough after both scored 76, while Val Rosser took third.
Jennifer Fell (79) won the Division Three event ahead of Alison Owen (81) and Ruth Rogers (82).
