Dominic Sullivan won round five of the Shiplate Winter Series.
ROUND five of the Shiplate Winter Series was fished on both the Hawthorns and Westpool with favourable weather conditions.
A few anglers not being able to attend gave an opportunity for guest anglers to fish the match as an open, which proved to be productive for Dominic Sullivan, drawing peg nine on the Hawthorns, (golden peg).
Dom chose to fish at 13m on the pole fishing maggots over expander pellets, catching carp steadily throughout the match. A few silvers added to his total bag weight of 49lb.
Series leader Dean Malin came a close second with 47lb 15oz, giving him top points on the lake for the series, while the Westpool had Alan Healey and Julian Pinkett sharing top points and Julian also took top silvers on Westpool.
