WESTON footballer Amy Williams was part of Bridgwater College’s women’s football development squad which came third in the national Futsal Championship, held in Birmingham.
The team made it through to the finals at the @Futsal Centre, where they competed against other colleges, including Birmingham Met College, Chesterfield, Easton and Worthing.
The women played Worthing for a second time. The match was highly competitive and after one near miss and a penalty goal to Worthing with one minute to go, Bridgwater’s hopes of being the national champions were over.
