SOMERSET Rebels Sam Masters and Alex Davies finished second and third respectively in the New South Wales State Under-21 Championship that was held at Kurri Kurri Raceway recently.

Both automatically qualified for the A Final, Masters with a maximum 15 points from his five rides, whilst Davies posted a 13 point return from his five rides, the same as Taylor Poole. The trio were joined by Todd Kurtz in the final, who had to come through the B final in order to take his place alongside the three automatic qualifiers.

In the final, however, Masters, who won the title back in 2009, had to give second best to Poole, who broke the Kurri Kurri track record in the process of heading home the three other contenders.
