EXETER City, newly promoted to Coca Cola Football League One will be the first opponents of the season for Weston as they start their build-up to the new campaign in Blue Square Conference South.

It is believed that the game on July 9 (7.30pm kick-off) will also be the Grecians first game time of the season as they prepare for life in the third tier of English football.

Last July Exeter, who were preparing to make their return to league football from the Conference, and Weston started their respective campaigns with a fixture at the Woodspring Stadium and a bumper crowd witnessed a full strength Exeter first team squad held to a 1-1 draw by the Seagulls in an entertaining game.

City Manager Paul Tisdale was understood to have been impressed by the playing surface and facilities at Weston and it is hoped that the game can become an annual fixture.
