WESTON Aerobic Gymnastics Club has been invited to compete at the 12th Slovak Open Championships in April.
The club have attended the last two Slovakian Championships with tremendous success, and are now preparing to try and bring home more silverware for the club.
A squad of 10 top gymnasts have been selected, comprising several British champions, Matt Saunders, Abi Butterfield, Keira Landen, Amelia Barratt and British medallists, Emily Antoine, Georgina Hannam, Jaime Ward, Ella Milford, Kirsty Harvey and Rhys Williams.
As part of their preparation for this trip, the gymnasts are competing alongside their clubmates this weekend in Reading at the first major competition of the year.
The club is expanding rapidly and to keep up with demand is starting several new sessions for children of all ages.
From March, the club will be running new sessions on Fridays, Cheertots for two to four-year-olds, stay and play for parents and toddlers and the ever-popular free running classes are coming to the Potteries training hall.
For more details about these and any other sessions, please phone Debbie 07779 802110.
