WESTON FC academy graduate Jake Harris looks set to be heading for the title in Division 1 South and West of the Southern League after being headhunted by runaway leaders Merthyr Town.
Harris, aged 23 came on to the radar of Martyrs boss Steve Jenkins after helping Newport County to the 2012 FA Trophy final.
Harris said: “Merthyr are the biggest club I have played for since I left Newport County. They have massive potential, a massive gate and are a club very much heading in the right direction.”
Amongst his team mates at the Cigg-e Stadium is former Seagull Kayne McLaggon.
