Hornettes Girls held their end-of-season presentation evening at the clubhouse.

More than 100 people attended the Hornettes Girls’ end-of-season presentation evening.

A season that has seen the Under-13s and Under-15s grow and develop as teams playing some great rugby that their coaches are very proud of. The Under-18s of which there are only five at present, also developed their skills and played some great rugby with various different teams.

Three of the girls - Phoebe Dalby, Lily Edgar-Wilson and Georgia Grimes made it into the county development squad.

In the Under-15s, Hannah Capes played for Somerset and Katie Reynolds made the development squad.

Main awards went to - Under-13s players’ player: Ella Hutchinson; coach’s player: Miriam Bailey; most improved: Ellen Swetman. Under-15s: Hannah Capes; Georgia White; Meg Robb.

A new award, the Invictus trophy, which is for the player who adheres to the RFU rugby core values, went to Hannah Capes.
