Hutton girls Under-14s started the season with victory over Bath City.

HUTTON girls Under-14s kicked off their season with a home win against Bath City in what turned out to be a real game of two halves.

Both sides struggled to get into their stride in the first-half until Tia Craig raced onto a through ball to open the scoring.

The second half was a different affair with Hutton finding their flowing football. Hannah Worley, Lauryn Nigh and Robyn Perrett constantly found wingers Megan Lewis and Danni Williams as Hutton started to dominate.

Defensively Hutton remained strong with Anya Lawrence, Nicole Badman and Eva Ferdinando, protecting Chloe Woods in the Hutton goal. Goals from Georgia Ferdinando and Lewis put Hutton 3-0 up.

Steph Lamont added extra impetus on the left wing before Perrett put Hutton 4-0 up before Bath pulled a goal back. Hutton’s responded with a goal by Lamont Bath got their second. Craig wrapped up the second half with another goal to give Hutton a 6-2 victory.

Silvermoor Interiors girl of the game was awarded jointly to Tia Craig and Georgia Ferdinando.

The Under-12 girls played their first-ever league game against Bradley Stoke in constant rain, with Charlotte Lewis, Mel Heath and Livvy Worley pulling the strings in midfield.

Emily Evans’ link-up play was outstanding and Ellie Burrows fired Hutton into the lead. As Bradley Stoke came into the game Meg Williams, Paige Nigh and Kaci Horner defended well, with keeper Kerri Townsend in fine form.

Bradley Stoke stepped up the pressure in the second half, but Hutton continue to cause problems on the break through Daisy Walker’s wing play.

Tiredness and injuries started to take their toll and Amelia Seaton and Kacey Allen worked hard, but a long-range shot beat the injured Townsend to level the scores, before Stoke grabbed a late winner.

The girls would like to thank McDonalds Weston for their kind sponsorship with the girl of the game being awarded to Paige Nigh.
