An inexperienced Hornettes side were well beaten by St Mary’s.
HORNETTES hosted St Mary’s Old Boys and from the kick-off, started strongly with a relatively new side.
St Mary’s hit back and put Hornettes’ defence to work, but were able to break the line and cross the line several times. Hornettes stayed strong and continued to work hard and had a few good chances to put a score on the match, but each time St Mary’s were able to turn over the ball.
St Mary’s went on to win 59-0. Well done to the new players who made their debut - Emily Afren, Amy Clark, Angie Robinson and Laura Perry.
Back of the match was Beth Ryall and forward of the match Abbey Constable.
