J21 gymnasts bring home the medals

J21 gymnasts enjoyed a golden time at the Baskervilles Rising Stars competition held in Bath.

J21 gymnasts competed at Baskervilles Rising Stars Floor, Vault and Trampette competition in Bath.

Alannah, Charlotte Jones and Pippa Harris started the day well on the vault and trampette. Alannah took the gold. On the floor Alannah took the silver and Pippa the gold. Overall, Pippa took the silver and Alannah the gold.

The winning streak continued into the second round in the pre levels competition for Amelia Bristow, Mia Musgrove and Sophia Brereton. Mia took the bronze on the vault and Sophia the gold.

On the trampette, Amelia took the silver and Mia the gold. On the floor, Amelia and Sophia took joint silver and Mia the gold. Overall medals went to Amelia taking the bronze, Sophia the silver and Mia the gold medal and trophy.

Heidi Anderson and Izzy Cornish competed in the intermediate competition, with Heidi having a good clean competition taking the silver on vault and placed fifth overall. Izzy had a flawless event, taking the silver on vault, bronze on trampette, gold on floor and taking the overall gold medal and trophy.

In the under-13s competition, Morgan White took the bronze on both vault and trampette and the gold on the floor, taking the club’s fifth overall gold medal and trophy.

Into the third round, Layla Thomas, Tilly Huggins, Emma Gadsen, Chloe Harris, Grace Ferris and Evie Royal competed in the advanced competition.

On the vault, Layla and Chloe took the joint bronze, while on the trampette Layla, Tilly and Emma took the joint silver.

On the floor, Evie took the bronze and Chloe the silver. Overall, Tilly took sixth, Evie fifth, Chloe Bronze and Layla silver.

In the under-11s intermediate, Imogen Old took the silver on vault and gold on the floor, overall taking the gold.

Olivia Rear and Gracie Huggins competed in the last round, Olivia took the silver on trampette and gold on vault. Overall, Gracie took fifth and Olivia fourth.

The following weekend, the gymnasts also competed at The Spark held at Bath University, testing the gymnasts on their range and conditioning, vault and floor.

In the first round, Maddi Cooper took the bronze, Heidi Anderson the silver and Amelia Bristow the gold.

In the second round, both Mia Musgrove and Sophia-May Brereton took the gold. The last round saw Layla Thomas, Tilly Huggins, Chloe Harris, Evie Royal compete, with Grace Ferris taking the silver and Emma Gadsen the bronze.
