Gymnasts from the J21 Club celebrated success at the latest West Country League match in Wiltshire.

J21 gymnasts celebrated success at the West Country League match two held in Wiltshire.

The first competition of the day saw the A League Division 2 team compete, consisting of Lexi Cooper, Jasmine Old, Evangeline Wigmore, Mercina Markoutsas, Layla Thomas and Chloe Harris.

This division brought some tough competition, but all gymnasts rose to the challenge. The gymnasts performed with ease with consistent routines throughout with all gymnasts staying on the beam.

The girls were placed second overall, standing them in a fantastic position heading towards the final match in November.

The second team to compete was the C League Division 4, the highest level of gymnastics in this competition.

The team consisted of Dottie Green, Lottie Anderson and Caitlin Rickard. The girls took the opportunity to perform lots of new skills ready for later competitions this year, the trio worked fantastic as a team and took home the gold.

Finishing the competition was the A League Division 4 team consisting of Tilly Huggins, Evie Royal, Grace Ferris, Emma Gadsden, Holly James, Imogen Old and Izzy Cornish.

With most of the girls still new to the competition circuit, this was another fantastic opportunity to gain more experience, a few mistakes made with nerves and some unfortunate falls on beam led the team to place fifth overall.

The coaching team are thoroughly pleased with all the gymnasts for their hard work in training and the performances on the day.
