Priory Commmunity School table tennis player Jake Tucker is playing in the British national championships later this month.

A Priory Community School student is playing in the British national table tennis championships this month after learning he is already ranked 256th in the country, despite being only 13 and having played the game for less than two years.

Jake Tucker will appear in the big tournament this month and is also part of the Under-15 Somerset County team.

Jake plays the game five times a week alongside being an excellent student at PCSA. The school has a tremendous record of producing and encouraging talent across a wide range of sports including rugby, football, netball and athletics.

Principal Jane McBride said: “This is tremendous new and an incredible achievement. We are doubly proud to learn of Jake’s national ranking at 265th.”
