THE second annual Angling Communities Charitable Trust fund-raising event in association with the Angling Trust was held on Burnham Beach.
With 40 anglers attending this fantastic event there was all to fish for. They fished over three zones and the results were: Zone A: Simon Bristow, conger 112 cm; Richard Dorcan, conger 100cm. Zone B: Mark Mossman, conger 138cm; Gary Simons, conger 137 cm. Zone C Andy Madsen, silver eel 42cm; Matt Cousens, silver eel 41cm.
Overall: Mark Mossman, Gary Simons, Simon Bristow. The longest flatfish pool went to James Madsen (event organiser) with a flounder of 27cm. Every fish was returned alive.
Altogether �670 raised for the England Ladies' International Sea Angling Team. A big thank you to all this year's sponsors and thanks to the Weston Outcasts for helping the event run smoothly. Keep eyes peeled for future coming events.
