James Dodd moved up a place in the British Masters Motocross Championship after another good weekend.
WINSCOMBE’S James Dodd headed to Northampton for round five of this seasons British Masters Motocross Championship, held at the Milton Park MX Circuit.
Consistent results so far in the Pro MX2 class this year saw James lying third in the championship standings, and he took his good form into qualifying to set the ninth fastest lap in what was a highly competitive group.
Race one saw James in around 10th place off the start, but he was looking fast and soon started to pick off the riders ahead and finished fifth. Race two saw him down in 15th, but as before he soon started to make up positions and finished this encounter in ninth.
James’ results on the day placed him in sixth overall, but he has now moved up into second place in the championship with two rounds remaining in this season’s championship.
