WORLE Rangers continued their winning run with a third round victory in the Somerset Intermediate Cup against Dolphin Athletic.
Rangers were off the mark immediately as Brinson crossed for Stephens, who headed smartly home. A smart save by keeper Jakeman kept Rangers in the lead as Westgarth, Hancock, Nott, Bray, Royce and Sutor began to dominate.
Fine play from Brinson and Westgarth set up Hancock to make it 2-0. Dolphin continued to fight and Gray and Jake Hannam were kept busy at the back.
The second half was comfortable for Rangers and they increased their lead when Dale set up Hancock to score. The fourth goal came when Hancock laid the ball off for Jake Hannam to net.
Shortly after, Hancock was again the provider as his corner found Wilson at the back post who headed home to make it 5-0.
Westgarth led the line well and Sutor was defensively sound, but the Curry Garden man of the match went to Darren Hancock.
St George (E-i-G) A 3
Wrington-Redhill Res 2
WRINGTON suffered their first defeat of the season to a hard-working Easton side. The visitors found it hard to get going in the first-half, but took the lead on 10 minutes when Louie Rouvaris opened the scoring.
The home side used a number of long throw-ins into the box that caused Wrington problems all afternoon, but the defence of Alex Blake, Rick Crocker and Phil Williams held firm.
Easton equalised soon after the break with a fine strike from 30 yards and followed it up with a penalty. Easton scored again before Rouvaris scored his second with a cracking header.
In a frantic finish, the home keeper pulled off a string of fine saves and Wrington hit the crossbar at least three time and deserved to come away with a point.
