The third week of the Clevedon District Snooker League was a cup week and saw BS20 Sports A at home to BS20 Sports RH in the first match.
The Knockout Cup this year has a new format which will see all teams play each other twice in a handicapped league format.
Des Gilbert won the opening frame 45-36 for the RH team against Steve King before Kevin King doubled the advantage with a 65-52 win of his own over Pete Skinner.
Ray Moorcroft made his CDSL debut for BS20 Sports A with a 47-33 loss to Paul Smart before Ron Reeves pulled a frame back with a 67-55 win of his own against Des Gilbert, who was playing with an additional 20-point handicap as his team are currently without captain Tony Eastham.

Home player Colin Tucker started with five points and went on to beat Dave Brooks 52-23 before visiting captain Mark Adams levelled the match by beating debutant Steve Rees 47-35. With Rees being a new player to the league his handicap was 10, with Adams playing off 15.
The third frame in the draw was Trevor Yeo (Mizzymead) versus John Morse. Morse eventually won the frame 65-41 before the highlight of the night for visiting Conservative B.
As the Conservative team were a player short, Adams had to give Frank Archer an additional 20-point start, making a deficit of 40 to overcome for the visitor.
A solid frame by Adams and important misses by Archer saw Adams, who also gave 16 points in fouls, win the frame impressively 81-57, with Archer only potting the 15th red.
