Kruz Belcher enjoyed a good week after making his debut for Gloucestershire Under-17s.

It was a week to remember for Kruz Belcher who, after being named as head boy for his school, Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College, also made his Gloucester County Cricket Club debut.

Kruz, who plays as a wicket-keeper/batsman for Bedminster and formerly Uphill Castle, was selected to play a three-day game for Gloucester Under-17s against Hampshire at Basingstoke & Northants.

With the temperatures hitting 30 degrees each day, it was a tough debut for Belcher, who batting at number 10 scored 10 not out and 14 in the first and second innings respectively, he also took four catches as wicket-keeper in the match which Hampshire won with two balls to go.

The Bedminster Under-15s team in which he plays are undefeated this season and have reached the last 16 in the country of the ECB NatWest National Club Championship and will play Glastonbury at Millfield School on Tuesday.
