Victoria ladies reached the semi-finals of the county double rink competition with victory over Street.
VICTORIA ladies secured a magnificent victory against Street in the county double rink competition.
Margaret Hillman skipped her rink losing by a narrow margin and with Mildred Chudley skipping her rink of Tiffany Ellis, Chris Stevens and Chris Sage to an excellent nine-shot win, Victoria won the quarter -fnal by four shots and next play Ilminster in the semi-final.
Victoria Ladies 41, Street 37: H Frye, K Wilson, S Newman, M Hillman 16-21; T Ellis, C Stevens, C Sage, M Chudley 25-16.
The ladies played Clevedon in a two-rink friendly and were beaten by just two shots, despite a fighting draw by the rink of Kay Wilson, Chris Stevens, Sue Sokol and Annie Holland.
Victoria Ladies 36, Clevedon 38: B Williams, L Richards, S Newman, M Chudley 18-20; K Wilson, C Stevens, S Sokol, A Holland 18-18.
