Tich Williams won the latest open match held at Shiplate Farm Fisheries.
SHIPLATE Farm Fishery near Weston, held an open match on the canal-style Westpool Lake.
Tich Williams (Drennan SW) drew peg 11 and fished the method 50/50 pellet, ground bait and mini boillies to bag the top spot with 62lb 8oz. Second was Ritchie Hawkins (Bristol PO) peg 14, 57lb 14oz, followed by Gary Flinders (Claypits) peg 12, 50lb 4oz. Silvers went to Julian Pinkett (Bristol PO) peg 4, 12lb 2oz.
Bristol match group Fry’s fished a match on the Hawthorns. Jason Bird on peg nine came very close to breaking the lake match record with 156lb 15oz. He fished method and pellet to the far bank and alternated the pole down the track shallow and the margin.
