Kickboxer Lewis Mulhall defeated Kyle Gargett at the TFC fight show at Hutton Moor to gain revenge for an earlier defeat.

KICKBOXER Lewis Mulhall gained revenge over Plymouth’s Kyle Gargett at the TFC fight show at Hutton Moor Sports Centre.

In this highly-anticipated re-match against Gargett, Lewis soon found his range and started picking him off. After a dominate display of boxing,Lewis was back to his winning ways and was awarded a unanimous points decision.

Lewis is Weston’s most decorated kickboxer holding 12 world titles, he is also the chief instructor at Weston’s most successful and longest serving martial arts and boxing gym, Warrior Gym, which is situated upstairs of Flex Fitness Academy in Worle.

Terry Millard took part in his first boxing fight. Terry was up against a slightly more experienced fighter from Portsmouth, but gave a good account of himself, securing all three rounds and getting a well deserved points win.

Martin Lukins, trained by the experienced Matthew Martin, took on a more experienced fighter from Weston Billy Dyer. After three close rounds, the fight was declared a draw.

In another re-match, Adam Kellaway, from Weston Warriors and Warrior Gym took on Neil Richards of Bristol, for a British kickboxing title.

Adam gave a good account of himself, winning every round on all three judge’s scorecards before referee Nathan Webb called a halt to the contest in the final round.

BROOKLYN Chamberlain, aged 13, won the WUMA British Championship for the eighth time.

Brooklyn trains four times a week with Lewis Mulhall at Weston Warriors and the pair are off to Portugal at the end of next month to compete in the ISKA World Championships.

Brooklyn has already won two gold medals and one bronze at previous world championships and is confident of adding to his collection.
