Angler Lewis Jones won the open match held at Shiplate Farm Fisheries over the bank holiday weekend.
AN open match on the Hawthorns, Shiplate Farm, over the bank holiday saw Lewis Jones win with a clear lead from the other 12 anglers when he weighed in 117lb 2oz.
From peg eight, Lewis fished the pole at 14.5m to the far shelf, fishing pellet and then paste, feeding groundbait.
Results : Lewis Jones (p8), 117lb 2oz; Dom Sullivan (p10), 52lb 11oz; Tim Lewis (p4), 44lb; Lance Tucker (p6), 41lb 11oz. Silvers went to Gordon Jones (p9), 7lb 12oz.
