Churchill Club 70 2
AN EXCITING game saw Locking Park come from behind to beat a dogged Churchill Club 70 Reserve side 5-2 in the Atwell Shield.
Park went behind when the ball slipped through goalkeeper Callum Cheeseman’s hands to be slotted home from close range. But Cheeseman more than made up for it with an great one-handed save from a penalty, before Joe Pearson rose well from a corner to put Park level just before half-time.

It was all Locking after the break and Pearson became the provider when his cross was volleyed home by Tom Rolls. Two minutes later, Ryan Harris smashed a low shot into the net from 25 yards and just after it was 4-1 after Ross Radford tapped in a shot-come-cross from Jack Poole.
Churchill pulled a goal back from a good shot from outside the box, but Locking scored the final goal when Radford’s cross saw Rory Atkins tap home.

GOALS either side of half-time from Jamie Foncette and Zack Warburton-Clothier were enough to see Winscombe move above Kewstoke into third in Division 3.

Wright said: “He’s vital to our promotion push this season on the pitch, and he’s great in the changing room with some of the younger lads.”
