Fifteen-year-old fencer Luke Mason won the latest Leon Paul Series epee event held at Millfield.
Luke Mason, a 15-year-old Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College student, took part in another Leon Paul Junior Series epee competition held at Millfield.
He fenced two rounds of pools, winning all bouts and gaining the top seeding. Luke then fenced through three rounds of direct elimination, reaching the final.
His opponent was an accomplished fencer from London with international experience. This was a good match, but Luke started poorly and was two points down before he changed tactics and scored with well-timed counter attacks to gain the lead and winning 15-11.
